HCS FLEx program selected as a top 5 finalist for Peary Award

The Hampton City Schools FLEx program has been selected as a top five finalist for this year's Peary Award, through Pear Deck. Pear Deck, based out of Los Angeles, is an educational technology company offering a web-based application and innovation to K–12 schools and teachers.

Each year, the Peary Awards celebrate outstanding educators and schools who embody Pear Deck’s values and encourage students to engage with teachers, classmates, and new ideas every day. The Peary Awards include six categories for recognition. Pear Deck looks for outstanding examples and stories that bring each category description to life. The HCS FLEx program was nominated in the category of Outstanding School Culture. This category includes schools that create an inclusive and empowering community for both educators and students. 

The FLEx program now moves into the finals of the award, and we need your help. Between Thursday, February 9 and Thursday, February 16 please visit https://www.peardeck.com/peary-awards to vote for a winner of each category. The entries with the most votes in each category will win. Winners will be announced on February 21 via a livestream and also shared on social media.
