Andrews PreK-8 School assistant principal Jarad Munroe earns doctorate

Jarad Munroe, assistant principal at Andrews PreK-8 School, successfully defended his dissertation on November 2, 2022. He earned a Ph.D. in education with a concentration in educational leadership from Old Dominion University. His dissertation is titled Understanding Superintendents, Approaches to the Implementation of District Systems in the Context of a Crisis.


Munroe earned his Bachelor of Arts from Virginia State University in 2011 and a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in educational leadership from Old Dominion University in 2018.


Currently in his third year with Hampton City Schools, Munroe previously worked in Richmond Public Schools as an eighth grade social studies teacher and Norfolk Public Schools as a social studies teacher and dean of students.
