Solara Jones, fifth grader at Mary T. Christian Elementary School, gives opening at the June 1 School Board meeting

 

Solara Jones, a fifth grader from Mary T. Christian Elementary School, was selected to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and give the opening at the June 1, 2022, School Board meeting. She read about what it means to be a champion at Mary T. Christian Elementary School.

 

Solara’s favorite subject is math and she loves gymnastics and cheer. She said she is excited to attend middle school next year to learn new things and to get better at math. She has three sisters.

 

Solara’s mother, sister, principal Eric Stone, and teacher Melissa Dickerson joined her at the meeting.
