Angel Palmer, a fifth grader at Forrest Elementary School, gives opening at the March 15 School Board meeting

 

Angel Palmer, a fifth grade student at Forrest Elementary School, was selected to give the opening at the March 15, 2023, School Board meeting. She led the Pledge of Allegiance and gave an overview of the history of Women’s History Month.

Angel, the SCA president at Forrest, says her favorite subject is math. Her hobbies include drawing and soccer. She wants to be a soccer player, singer, or a runner when she grows up.

Angel’s parents and sisters as well as her principal Elizabeth Cromartie, assistant principal Stephanie Sutton, teacher Audrey Lavoie, and Derrick Alston, family engagement specialist, joined her at the meeting.
