FLEx teacher Meryl Innerfield selected as a Classroom Changemaker

Congratulations to FLEx first grade teacher Meryl Innerfield for being selected as a Canvas Classroom Changemaker. She is one of 12 teachers selected in a contest based on her video and how she uniquely connected with her students, built opportunities to explore, and supported achievement within the amazing learning environment she fosters.

 

As the Canvas website says, changemakers do more than “do good”; they are creative and make transformative changes to the spaces they enter. They are the ones actively working to make a difference. 

As a selected recipient, Innerfield is receiving a $500 VISA gift card.

 

“Mrs. Innerfield has been an absolute game changing force for the HCS FLEx program,” said Gary Skeen, HCS virtual partnership specialist. “She has been able to leverage the Canvas LMS platform to transform learning for her first grade students into interactive, engaging, and collaborative lessons in the virtual environment. Mrs. Innerfield's use of Canvas has created learning opportunities individualized for each student while remaining highly creative, incorporating the storylines of the FLEx program's immersive adventures into every course.  Our FLEx team is grateful of Mrs. Innerfield's tireless efforts for her students each day, and incredibly proud of her for her distinction as a Canvas Change Maker for 2023.”
