Five HCS elementary and middle schools make the Top 100 list of Virginia Schools

U.S. News & World Report released nationwide rankings for K-8 public schools in October 2021, showing the top public elementary and middle schools, including magnet and charter schools, in each state.

The rankings evaluated more than 61,000 schools across the country using performance on state tests, school size, student-to-teacher ratio, and other important data. The result is a list of top-performing schools that can be searched by grade level, location, and other parameters.

The rankings included the following schools in the top 100 in their respective category.

Armstrong School for the Arts - #64 in the elementary school category

Jones Magnet Middle School - #4 in the magnet school category and #7 in the middle school category

Phenix PreK-8 School - #39 in the middle school category

Eaton Fundamental Middle School - #69 in the middle school category

Andrews PreK-8 School - #73 in the middle school category

Rankings in Virginia are available for more than 1,480 public elementary and middle schools.
