30th Annual Warrior Classic Marching Band Competition to be held November 6

 

The Kecoughtan High School Band and Kecoughtan Band Boosters will host the 30th Annual Warrior Classic Marching Band Competition on November 6, 2021. The event will be held at Darling Stadium and will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the final band (Kecoughtan High School exhibition) performing at approximately 9:00 p.m.

 

“We are proud of the long history of the Warrior Classic Marching Band Competition sponsored by the Kecoughtan High School Band Boosters,” said Kelly Dee, visual and performing arts curriculum leader. “This year, we are celebrating the students’ return to the marching band field and the 30th anniversary of this unique event. We invite all families, community members, and past participants to come out and enjoy the resilience, excellence, and pride these students exhibit while they represent their schools and compete for grand champion.”

 

Tickets are $7 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens, and children five and under are free.

 

Six highly qualified judges, covering the categories of music, marching, general effect, color guard, percussion, and drum major, score the bands.

 

Twenty bands from throughout Virginia have registered to participate.
