Hampton Education Foundation member gives $500 donation
Ali Afonja a Hampton Education Foundation (HEF) board member recently made a donation of $500 to HEF from his organization, Holistic Family Solutions.
Holistic Family Solutions is a new approach to mental health therapy that provides clients with tools to heal themselves naturally and focuses on four quadrants of wellness: fitness, spirituality, cognition, and nutrition. This summer, students in their summer camp participated in a community garden. The peppers grown in the garden were harvested to create a hot pepper sauce that the students bottled, marketed and sold to members of the community. For each bottle sold, 50% went to the student and the remainder was used as donations to local non-profits. On Monday, August 23, 2021, members of Holistic Family Solutions and students from their camp made a presentation to The Hampton Education Foundation of a $500 donation to the Mike Canty Scholarship Fund.
Bottles of All Hands Hotsauce are still on sale and can be purchased here: https://www.holisticfamilysolutions.com/product/flaming-pineapple/
