KHS guitar studies students attend Eastern Virginia Guitar Festival

Kecoughtan High School guitar studies students, beginning and advanced ensembles, attended the Eastern Virginia Guitar Festival held at Christopher Newport University. Each group performed repertoire for clinician Pat Garrison, director of the Tidewater Classical Guitar Ensemble. The students received feedback on their technique and the application of their skills. 

“Performance assessments like this afford our students the opportunity to receive feedback from professionals in their field who can directly comment on what our students are studying. The students represent the musical excellence in their school, community, and our region, and we are proud of their accomplishments,” said Kelly Dee, visual and performing arts curriculum leader.
